Who we are
Der Ravensberg Berufliche Schule und Abendgymnasium (Vocational Training School and Night school)
( Imitation is a kind of slavery – but education and development is life and freedom ) Leopold von Ranke

Preface General statements ‘The Ravensberg’ is a training centre offering education for students living in Kiel and surrounding as well as for those living in parts of Schleswig-Holstein or even in other parts of Germany. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The cooperation between ‘The Ravensberg’ and other institutions for further education are to be intensified. The most important partner of the ‘Landesberufsschulen’ is the ‘Photo+Medienforum Kiel’.The school focuses on a good connection to ‘WasserturmRavensberg Verwaltung GmbH’ and to the future Baltic Sea Forum.
‘The Ravensberg’ is involved in the project “ development of Vocational Training Colleges to Regional Training Centres (RBZ)”. The project aims at a far-reaching teaching development in connection with the development of organization and personnel management whereby a lot of responsibility is to be taken over by all participants and all parts of the training centre. This high degree in self-regulation increases potentials as well as the satisfaction of staff, students, parents and partners of the dual system. Living and learning together Is the motto of “The Ravensberg’s” training offers in order to increase quality and attractiveness. Due to many future potentials and the close links to other schools and the University ‘The Ravensberg’ is a highly future-compliant institution in terms of educational policy both for the state capital Kiel as well as for the K.E.R.N. area.
‘The Ravensberg’ is a European School since 23rd March 2003.
